The original castle was destroyed by the bomb. The castle was rebuilt in the 1950s. The castle has a beautiful museum.

Day 11-13 – Hiroshima – Atomic Dome, Peace Memorial Park, National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims & Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

Day 10 – Himeji – Mount Shosa Ropeway and Engyo-ji Temple
While in Himeji, I also went to Mount Shosa and saw the numerous Buddhist temples on it. The ride up was nice with the Fall colors. There were a number of temples and other important sites such as the Honda family graves.
