I took a day trip to Nara which is a former Imperial capital of Japan. It is in fact the first Imperial capital in 700s AD. It was know as Heijō-kyō then.
Tōdai-ji Temple 東大寺
My first stop after getting a day pass for the bus was Tōdai-ji Temple. It is home to the largest Buddha statue in Japan.
Kasuga Taisha Shrine 春日大社
I visited the Kasuga Taisha Shrine. It is a beautiful shrine with vibrant orange color.
